The Peacecamp Project:

A.I.M.S

In full consideration of the historical and social context that the Peacecamp- Masbate Project is to be undertaken, the organizers of this project have the following aims in mind:

1. To introduce the Pluralist View on Conflict Situations, where the conflicting parties can all be recognized to be reasonable on at least some of their positions and demands, within the context of the collective and respective interests of all. 

Many people believe that if one side is deemed correct and reasonable, the other/

opposing side would necessarily be wrong and unreasonable.

2. To broaden the understanding of all the participants on the peace question, with its different nuances, including personal and interpersonal peace, value of patience and control of temper, historical and cultural contexts, and a universal avoidance of using violence in resolving the conflicting positions 

3. To promote a strong determination to maintain the Earnest Dialogue Option, which covers basic honesty, trustworthiness and willlingness to trust. The more difficult it becomes to continue the earnest dialogue, the more urgent its necessity becomes.

4. To promote an overall strengthening of the culture of peace among the general populace.
